St. Louis Area Sighthounds, SLASH, is an organization founded in the Summer of 1994 primarily to promote lure coursing in the St. Louis area and to educate all owners and potential owners of sighthounds about the many joys and hardships of living with such magnificent animals.

SLASH holds coursing practices monthly, depending on field availability. General meetings are held at the end of these practices. Special general meetings and board meetings are held on an as-needed basis throughout the calendar year. SLASH currently holds three all breed ASFA sanctioned trials each year - approximately the fourth weekend in March, the third weekend in September, and the second weekend in November. SLASH may also host other specialty events throughout the year.
